While his portrayal of Denny Crane garnered him both an Emmy and Golden Globe award in 2005, Shatner is perhaps most recognized for his role as Captain James T. Kirk on Star Trek. His role as Captain Kirk has made him iconic across generations, a highly-sought after quality for
priceline.com, who approached Shatner to be the site’s official spokesperson in 1998 and with whom he still enjoys a successful relationship.
In addition to his accomplished career on camera, Shatner has authored over 20 best-selling books including "Get a Life!," which takes a satirical look at the cult-like following of Star Trek conventions and the novel series
TekWar, which was adapted into a television series on the Sci-Fi Channel.
