LOMA AND LIMRA INTERNATIONAL JOIN INSURANCE ASSOCIATION OF THE CARIBBEAN (IAC) TO CO-SPONSOR CARIBBEAN INSURANCE CONFERENCE
Atlanta, GA—April
10,
2006—LOMA and LIMRA International are joining the
Insurance Association of the Caribbean (IAC) as co-sponsors of the annual Caribbean Insurance Conference. The 2006 conference will take place June 4-7 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The IAC has enjoyed tremendous success with its conference for 25 years attracting worldwide participation. The joint conference with IAC will replace the annual LIMRA/LOMA conference for senior executives from financial services organizations based in, or with operations in, the Caribbean. LOMA and
LIMRA International are working together to create a Life Insurance Segment that will deliver the valuable content and presentations that our member companies in the region have come to expect.
IAC’s CEO Dr. Sheron Lawson stated that the Association is happy to welcome LIMRA and LOMA as partners to the Annual CIC. “This partnership allows us to offer our delegates a more expanded program with a wider range of topics. We are sure that this will result in an even more successful and exciting conference.”
“We are very excited about the synergies we believe a joint conference will create for our members.” stated Laura Perry-Bates, FLMI, PCS, AIAA, ARA, senior regional associate with LOMA’s International division. “The Caribbean Insurance Conference will be a comprehensive event covering industry management and marketing issues for the life insurance and financial services industry in the Caribbean region and elsewhere. Attendees will come away with valuable insight and proven solutions to implement at their organizations.”
“We believe that by bringing in the life track we will enrich the overall conference program and at the same time we will be able to continue to serve our clients in the region. Our focus would be on the Life and Health side of the industry, covering subjects ranging from leadership to alternate distribution to our bread and butter, the career agent.” stated Bolivar Arosemena, LIMRA’s Managing Director for the Caribbean and Latin America.
The Caribbean Insurance Conference will feature a mix of general sessions, breakouts, panel discussions and excellent networking opportunities. Attendees include C-level executives, administration executives, heads of marketing, distribution, and information technology, along with top regional producers. For more information, visit
