Overview
Life Office Management Association (LOMA) is an
international association of insurance and financial services
companies that was founded in 1924. With 175 expert employees and
numerous years of experience in the industry, LOMA has more than 1,200 member companies in
65 countries. In North America,
our member companies hold 95 percent of the assets of the life
insurance industry. Internationally, virtually all of the world's
largest insurers are LOMA members. Some of the world's most
prestigious consultancies, information technology firms,
universities, and professional associations also are LOMA
members.
Industry Knowledge
LOMA's FLMI Insurance Education Program is the
largest university-level insurance education program in the
world, and one of the most distinguished. To provide employees
with the industry-specific knowledge they need to perform their
jobs effectively, we designed the FLMI program curriculum in
close consultation with the insurance industry. It consists of
ten courses, each one including a rigorous examination, and
focuses on key life and health insurance topics.
Since the program's inception in 1932,
approximately 3,000,000 examinations have been given in 56 countries around
the world and more than 65,000 insurance professional have
attained the FLMI designation. In addition to English, we offer
our programs in Bahasa Indonesia, Chinese,
French, Korean, Portuguese,
and Spanish.
