Financial
Committee – advances education and solutions through the use of
research and surveys or other identifiable tools.
The committee identifies and addresses policies, programs,
practices and current trends related to finance and investment.
Items of concern include budgeting and planning, cost
containment, infrastructure and corporate restructuring.
The committee consists of representatives with broad financial
accountability within their member companies and will be a forum for
company CFOs\treasurers\controllers.
Operations\Systems – promotes
efforts related to policyholder services and will investigate best
practice solutions to operational or system problems.
The committee consists of representatives with significant
management duties related to operations and/or systems.
Laws and Legislation – tracks
changes in the legal and regulatory environment.
The committee examines legislation affecting the business of
insurance and promptly reports from time to time to the officers and
directors of the LIC with action plans for addressing problem
situations. This committee
consists of representatives with significant management duties related
to legal and compliance functions.
Marketing - determines
subjects proper for surveys or research and collect information related
to best practices in marketing and sales.
The committee also plans and implements committee meetings or
seminars that provide information and training for various types of
marketing and sales distribution systems used by member companies.
This committee consists of senior representatives from the
marketing and sales divisions of member companies
Membership – This committee
consists of Board members only. The
committee is responsible for working with the Executive Director to
identify potential members or affiliate members.
The committee also, when it deems necessary, assists the
Executive Director in efforts to retain current members.
Nominating – This committee
consists of board members only. Its
responsibility is to seek out potential candidates to serve on the Board
of Directors. The committee
makes recommendations from time to time as it is deemed necessary by the
chair, but in any event the committee shall be prepared to nominate new
candidates to the Board of Directors at the annual meeting of the
organization.
