Developed by Aon Consulting, LOMASelect®-Pathfinder provides a comprehensive system for performance management, employee development, administering 360º surveys, talent management and interviewing employees through an easily customized Web portal. The system’s five flexible modules are well suited for any organization that would like to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the workforce development process. The system:

  • Provides an easy-to-use Web interface for HR managers and employees to access performance management tools, development planning resources, multi-rater or other surveys, talent management tools, and interviewing tools.

  • Supports performance review processes based on objectives and/or competencies.

  • Gathers key performance information from all appropriate performance stakeholders (e.g., customers, managers, supervisors and employees) through online forms.

Modules
Organizations can choose from the  Performance Management System, Development Resource Advisor, Multi-Rater System, Talent Management System, and/or Interview Management System modules to assemble a targeted and comprehensive set of workforce development tools. A single module can be implemented or a combination can work together in an integrated process.

Performance Management System

  • Provides an annual performance appraisal system that is customized for each job based on competencies or objectives.

  • Offers easy-to-use forms to document performance throughout the year.

  • Allows a development plan to be created to link to the same competencies as included in the performance appraisal.

Development Resource Advisor

  • Allows employees to complete a development needs assessment. They can pinpoint areas in which they need further development for their current job or for another job.

  • Provides an extensive list of resources employees can use to develop in certain areas. Resources include training courses, books, computer-based training, videos, on-the-job activities, etc. Companies can also add their own internal resources to the database.

  • Helps employees and managers to create a customized development plan. E-mail reminders can be used to ensure timely completion of activities.

 

Multi-Rater System

  • Allows employees to receive input from the people who work closest to them on their strengths and areas where developmental needs exist.

  • Surveys can be completed by the employee's peers, manager, direct reports, and customers.

 

Talent Management System

  • Provides an automated system for succession planning.

  • Includes profiles to identify high-potential employees that can be customized to document employee skills, knowledge, and past experiences.

  • Generates position descriptions and critical competency requirements for key jobs.

  • Creates succession scenarios to determine consequences of choices.

 

Interview Management System

  • Provides a database of interview questions that managers can select from to conduct interviews.

  • Assists managers in linking interview questions to critical competencies.
