AAPA
Requirements
To earn the AAPA, students must pass LOMA’s
five annuity-specific courses. The five-course requirement for
students to earn the AAPA designation no longer includes an elective.
AAPA Designation Program Courses
LOMA developed the AAPA courses in conjunction with industry annuity experts
from LOMA's Equity Products & Annuity Committee. The courses in the AAPA
Designation Program include:
- AAPA 273—Annuity Principles and Products
- AAPA 283—Marketing, Distribution, and Uses of Annuities
- AAPA 303—Annuity Systems and Administration
- AAPA 313—Financial Aspects of Annuities
- AAPA 323—Regulation and Taxation of Annuities
